Mônot is back.
After a two-year hiatus, Eli Mizrahi’s luxe, sexy label, which he debuted in 2021 during the pandemic as an independent with no financial backing, is relaunching with its fall 2026 campaign.
“Despite all the challenges at the time, we were fortunate to build strong momentum both editorially and commercially. The brand quickly established itself with leading retailers around the world while building an incredible community of collaborators and supporters,” Mizrahi said of the brand’s inception.

But despite quickly becoming a celebrity-loved, hot brand known for its confident, body-hugging dresses and separates with daring cutouts worn by the likes of Doja Cat, Demi Lovato, Dove Cameron, Saweetie and more, Mizrahi hit a road block.
“It worked to a point where the brand basically blew up, and then we started getting orders of 10 and 12 million [dollars]. I had two options: Decline and go with the gradual growth how I’d been doing it, or find an investor, backer or partner that can facilitate production. We went with the second option and reached out to potential partners,” he said of finding a partner two years ago.
“We entered into a production and distribution partnership that was intended to help us scale globally. Unfortunately, it didn’t unfold as planned,” Mizrahi explained of issues spanning from unpaid royalties to quality control and delivery issues with the unnamed partner. “We’ve since exited that partnership; we’re currently pursuing legal action to recover significant unpaid royalties.”

As of March, Mizrahi said Mônot is again fully independent, with production, logistics, and operations back under his direct control. He also noted styles are now manufactured and finished in Paris with a new production partner, with embroideries crafted in India.
Rather than dwelling on his previous chapter, the designer is looking forward to his next, starting with his brand’s fifth anniversary this month.
“I took full control of the brand, which feels more authentic. The numbers and the volume of work had to drop drastically because of backing, but I’d rather do it my way, on my terms, and not have to face any issues,” he explained, noting the brand started working with new luxury agency Saville, founded by Saville Dorfman, and returned to Paris to present resort 2027 earlier this summer.

“We’re doing spring 2027 in September in New York with Saville, and will also show with them in Paris in their new showroom,” he said. “[Saville] is young; they’re creative and they’re ambitious. When there’s that level of mutual respect between the sales showroom, then everyone wins,” he said, noting his return for the fall 2026 season was met with strong feedback from former retail partners.
Alongside the fall campaign, Mizrahi said the brand is launching an e-commerce platform later this year, with potential flagships in London and New York planned in 2027.
This phase follows Mizrahi’s intentionally selective distribution with Revolve Group’s Fwrd, who has exclusivity on his fall collection and remains his biggest partner and collaborator. Starting with resort, the brand is opening up distribution, in increments, to select retail partners.

To celebrate the anniversary, Mizrahi has exclusively previewed his newest fall 2026 collections campaign, his first in two years, which will be released Aug. 3.
“While we were going through the storm with the other company, we paused all activations, from dinners to campaigns, but we are now back to our old ways,” he said.
The campaign was photographed by Davit Giorgadze and styled by Carlos Nazario, both of whom are longtime creative collaborators of Mizrahi, and features Candice Swanepoel, who featured in Mônot’s first campaign in 2021. Set against the National Museum of Qatar in Doha, with an additional backdrop designed by Jean Nouvel, the campaign also features Jessica Miller and came together spontaneously, Mizrahi noted.

“Last November, I was in Doha during Formula 1. Jessica happened to be there while her husband was performing with Metallica; Carlos was attending Fashion Trust Arabia, and Candice and I had already been discussing the possibility of shooting together again,” he said of the memorable moment that speaks to the brand’s larger “spontaneous” spirit. “Doha was never the original plan, but once we realized we were all there, everything came together almost overnight. We flew Candice in from Miami, Davit joined us from Berlin, and within less than 24 hours we had assembled the entire team.”
As seen through the fall campaign’s sexy, minimalist dresses, plush outerwear and sleek denim and leather layers, Mônot’s relaunch does not signify a change in aesthetic and upholds the brand’s strong DNA of structure, sensuality and modern femininity.
“Overall, it’s been quite the journey but the end result has been positive,” Mizrahi said.
